Dr. Paul A. Shadid

Dr. Paul A. Shadid was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He attended Oklahoma City public schools and upon graduation attended the University of Oklahoma, Norman campus, studying microbiology. In 1984, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in Oklahoma City and began his private practice that same year.

Dr. Shadid has been a career long member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Oklahoma County Dental Society. He has served on several state and local committees. He has served as a delegate representative to the ODA and on the executive committee for the OCDS as program chairman.

Dr. Shadid has volunteered as a part time faculty member at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He first served as a clinical instructor from 1984-1991 in the department of Fixed Prosthodontics. Currently, he is a clinical instructor in the Department of comprehensive care teaching senior dental students. He was recently awarded the Outstanding Part time Faculty member by the OU College of Dentistry.

Dr. Shadid has been a life long member of St Elijah Orthodox Christian Church in Oklahoma City. He has served his church in many capacities including chairman of the Annual Bake Sale and Food Festival. The event is the largest community outreach and fundraiser for the parish. He has also served on the parish council for several terms and assisted on numerous committees. He is currently serving on the long range planning committee.

Dr. Shadid has several hobbies, his favorite of which is spending time with his wife and their children. Since the children have grown, he has more time for gardening, fishing, and golf. As an avid sports fan, his favorite entertainment is OU football, and Thunder basketball.
